Vice President Kamala Harris and former first lady Michelle Obama are leading contenders for the Democratic Party's 2024 presidential nomination if President Joe Biden chooses not to run again, according to a new poll. A Hill-HarrisX poll conducted from November 18 to 19 showed Harris and Obama ahead of other possible candidates, including Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren.

Why is Klobuchar always omitted these days when talk turns to the next Dem president? It’s so very very odd.

Poor Tulsi...to conservative for liberals and too liberal for conservatives.
But maybe she doesn’t realize that.
At least she took out Kamalalaladingdong before the first primary. That was fun to watch.

Do you really think Pelosi would give up the chance to be President if she could, she will not go gently into that good night.

Yes. She's 81 and just bought a retirement beach mansion in Florida.
I think she would give it up if, in her mind, it secures the White House for a Democrat incumbent in 2024.
If Pelosi did become president, that would be an automatic win for Republicans in 2024 (and her arch-nemesis President Trump) because she won't be running after that.
By stepping aside, Democrats get to choose the person who will run against President Trump in 2024 as the incumbent. Otherwise, it will be Harris or Biden.

Great, so if we don’t vote for either of them we’re racist and sexist.

If the Democrats could put someone who can be confirmed into the SoS spot, who would it be?

Sorry, I leaned and reached for something and pressed the enter key by mistake.
Who can the Democrats sneak into the SoS spot?
John Kerry?
Mike Bloomberg?
Gavin Newsom?
Al Gore?

All true. Articles like this are trying to drive her to run, but she won’t. Life is good for the Obamas now. They have everything they ever wanted and they’ll never have to work again, so why change anything?

Looks like they have to nominate their least unpopular Governor - Ned Lamont. He’s the wrong color, so they’ll need Ayanna Pressley as his running mate ...I don't think so, but it's an intriguing match up. I know nothing about Ned Lamont and wonder if he's anything like Ned Flanders on the Simpsons. Ayanna has the trifecta -- Black, female, and bald -- but the country has moved on from the Eisenhower years and bald is no longer beautiful.

Well, for the entire Trump term the government was in the hands of invisible enemies of America, and their scheme to use a nobody as frontman to continue their work is going well.
So, why not Kamala Harris? Another nobody who won't put up a fuss that the powers of the office are being exercised elsewhere.
Sounds perfect.

Good question, it would have to be someone non controversial and polarizing, so forget Hillary and John Kerry.
Susan Rice would be a possibility, acceptable to enough and would have the total backing of the Cabal.
Then we have Valerie Jarrett
I am at a loss to think of others right now. But I do think the push might be for a woman who could be made President.

Rice's only vulnerable area of attack would be her unmaskings during the Trump campaign in 2016.
Otherwise, it would be difficult for President Trump to attack her with nicknames the way he does with everybody else. He would immediately lose the black and women vote if he attacks her like he's used to doing.
Like I said, if they oust Blinken for her, then it's "game on!"

Harris does poorly with audiences, but at least she’s been before audiences. I don’t see Valerie Jarrett coming out in the open as a candidate. Susan Rice has been before the cameras before, but I think the general impression picking either of them would create was that the Democrats ran out of candidates and they were the fallback. Whether voters would like them any better than Harris is impossible to say.

But I see you’re talking about Secretary of State, and I suppose Rice would get the job. But she and ValJar aren’t going any further than that.
