TULSA, Okla. — Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt called President Joe Biden out on Twitter on Tuesday in response to the president's plan to combat high oil and gas prices.
Biden announced earlier Tuesday his plan to release 50 million barrels of oil from the U.S.'s strategic reserve in the hopes of lowering gas prices.
Stitt called Biden's plan a "disastrous policy" and accused Biden of snubbing oil-producing states like Oklahoma.
(Stitt's Twitter post) Another disastrous policy from a president who doesn’t get it. Depleting our stockpile is dangerous for national security and does not solve the problem. Mr. President – stop shutting down domestic energy production at every turn and snubbing oil producing states like Oklahoma!
In a statement released Tuesday morning, the White House said that of the 50 million barrels that will be used up from the reserve, 32 million barrels would "eventually return" in an exchange that will take place in the years ahead. Eighteen million barrels will act as "an acceleration into the next several months of a sale of oil that Congress had previously authorized."
There was a house in my neighborhood that had a "Biden/Harris" sign in their yard. I want to knock on their door and thank them for the high price of gas and the 40% increase in food prices.
50 Million barrels== less than a 2 day supply for the USA.

Biden has always been a shifty, corrupt windbag devoid of any principles or convictions, which was OK as long as Delaware was willing to tolerate him. He was THEIR problem.
But now he’s OUR problem and he is systematically wrecking the country. Unfortunately I have no confidence in Republicans to reverse the damage.
You know, if every STATE in our nation was just left alone by Mother Government, and did what it did BEST, just think of what a fantastic, robust economy we’d have, how we’d again be the powerhouse of the planet, how our success would lift up all struggling nations...

IT’S NOT REALLY 50 MM BARRELS TO USA. IN THE FIRST INTRASTRUCTURE BILL, our allies were to get 18 mm barrels of oil. So 50 mm is really 32 mm or a two-day supply. I knew that. Why didn’t the Secretary of the Energyy know that?
