This thread will almost certainly be called 'fear porn.' My purpose in tracking this variant has nothing to do with that.. I'm interested in several things here: 1). Is this variant showing a weakening in the virus as it mutates? 2). Is this mutation more deadly or less than the previous mutations? 3). What does all this say about our reliance on vaccines and down grading of other therapeutics? 4). Is it possible to isolate countries off by restricting travel?

Biden has not taken action to isolate this virus... the UK and Israel have banned travel from several South African nations, Israel is reporting the appearance of the vaccine there.

South Africa now has over 100 cases, it appears they will be like Italy was in the beginning of all this... a sign post of what is to come.

Pfizer supposedly has developed an oral medication that is effective against COVID infections. FDA approval is pending The stock market is crashing today. Might be a good idea to buy Pfizer stock. The timing of this thing seems a bit suspicious.
