There sure are a lot of black people participating and performing in the Thanksgiving Day Parade.
MSNBC needs to go pull them off those Floats!
And only one of their three viewers was angered by what they said!
If I don't complain then that bunch of recent imports can't either.
I do agree we should have had a better immigration policy.

The 1619 arrivals were all indentured servants. They almost all worked off their indentures and were freed. There was no slavery in Virginia until about 1643 when Anthony Johnson, a black who had worked off his indenture, won a Crown court case that declared John Casor, another black man, to owe his labor to Johnson in perpetuity (i.e. a slave for life).
There are a couple of cases where people who were indentured tried to escape and were punished by being converted to slaves.
Well.... no.
Slavery was around in the New World long before the British were sailing the seas.
In fact you would be hard pressed to find any place in the world that did not have slavery.
Possibly Antarctica. But I would not bet on it.

It has guided us through times of great challenge and change and allowed us to see ourselves in those who come to our shores in search of a safer, better future for themselves and their families.
On this holiday, we count our blessings and renew our commitment to giving back.
