Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is sponsoring a bill to grant Kyle Rittenhouse the Congressional Gold Medal, the highest honor the legislative branch can bestow.
The Georgia Republican introduced the bill Tuesday following Rittenhouse's acquittal of all charges in the killing of two men during riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin, last year. The bill's summary says the legislation will "award a Congressional Gold Medal to Kyle H. Rittenhouse, who protected the community of Kenosha, Wisconsin, during a Black Lives Matter (BLM) riot on August 25, 2020."

He stepped up to the plate.
Speaking of funny, did you catch what Matt Gaetz said?
A spokesman for Matt Gaetz told The Washington Post: “We are concerned that awarding Kyle with a Congressional Gold Medal will give him a big head during the internship with our office.”
I can just see Joe pinning the medal on him now . . . . not.
and I would add to the citations words like:
“.....knowingly sacrificing himself to great harm and danger from a violent well-armed mob of rioters...”

.....it’s amazing to me how with our country’s very existence on the line that two women (Boebert and Greene) consistently show more spine and gravitas, integrity and love of country than all the Republican men in Congress put together!

I think that’s a great idea. You can bet that there will only be one or two more “republicans” voting for it, the rest will join the democrats to vote no.
