Following the departures of Jonah Goldberg and Stephen Hayes from Fox News, a new report says the network has seen a significant level of an internal dispute over the conspiracy theories espoused by Tucker Carlson.
New York Times media columnist Ben Smith reported on Sunday that Goldberg and Hayes walked out because of Patriot Purge, Carlson’s 3-part Fox Nation docuseries about the storming of the U.S. Capitol. Fact-checkers and media commentators have been tearing Patriot Purge to shreds for boosting known propagandists and advancing unsubstantiated claims about January 6th.
NPR’s David Folkenflik reported on this development new details that had not yet been known: Senior Fox News figures voiced their own concerns about the dubious claims advanced by Patriot Purge and Fox’s opinion side. The report states that Bret Baier and Chris Wallace went as far as raising their objections to the network’s leaders.
The piece goes on to illustrate how Fox’s news division aired segments that distanced themselves from Carlson’s claims. Carlson declined to comment on that when reached by NPR, but he mocked Goldberg and Hayes over their leave-taking, saying it “will substantially improve the channel.”
“These are two of the only people in the world who still pretend the Iraq war was a good idea,” Carlson said. “No one wants to watch commentary that stupid.”
A Fox executive said the network had no intention of re-signing Steve Hayes or Jonah Goldberg when their contracts came up in 2022.

Let’s Go Fox News!
I’m a republican and I belong to a country club. Someone has to.
Ooooh. The NYT and NPR are stirring up opposition to Carlson’s non-approved thoughts. Who’dathunkit?
Brett was all aboard the narrative that there was no chance of Trump becoming President. Haven’t watched him since.
Jan6 was a mostly peaceful protest, that magically halted questions about the validity of the 2020 presidential election.
He’s nothing but a GOPe, UNIPARTY stooge.
Funniest thing is folks like him, Wallace and so many others, they are just unwilling to see the forest for the trees.
Have Fox arrange a series of town halls or some other forum. Get a handful of well known ‘Republicans’; Jeb, George Jr, Romney, Graham, Rubio, Fiorino, Christie, Kemp, Ducey, Hogan, Boehner, Ryan. And have it be just them. No having them come into to speak at some GOP Republican conference or Chamber of Commerce event. Off the cuff, nothing scripted, no prepared speech written by someone else. You’re buying a ticket just for them and them alone. Maybe they get some Country Club/RINO types who don’t like President Trump’s tweets.
Then have the same with President Trump. Same venue. Let them all watch as they have to put giant screens outside for the folks that couldn’t get in.
These DC/RINO hacks never got it, don’t get it now and will never get it. And they can’t get out of the way because doing so takes away their money making schemes.
“Facts are dangerous”
When will this air? I would like for them to show it as soon as possible before Fox caves to the woke mob.
Butt, not enough balls to quit like the other two assclowns? What’s the matter dumbasses? Truth too much for you? Don’t like opposing views? Surely your pal shep would be happy to put in a good word for you wherever he is. (Or is it “they”)
If it actually happens, it's no longer a 'theory'.................
They are covering it up. They’re not journalists. They think it will make them look bad.
Snakes!
Now if Juan Williams will take his ignorance to a like-minded propoganda pimp Fox can finally rid itself of it’s presstitute lifestyle. And become an honest, virtuous news source once again.
Hopefully we will also see the resignation of piss Wallace and Bret Bore. They can both go to hell.
I’d love to see it. I’d love to see him grovel his way to a job on MSNBC.
His replacement? First answer would be Steyn, for me.
Is it the Bushwood kind or the Travis Tritt kind?
Even though you’re a country club Republican, as long as you don’t have posters of Boehner, Kemp, Ryan, Cantor, Thune, and all the rest hanging all over your Man-Cave, you should be good to go......ha ha
I’ll tell you what, if more of the RINO hacks leave or get booted from FOX, CNN and MSNBC is going to have their hands full trying to hire the hates of all things President Trump. Simply won’t be enough room for them. Not that they would do anything for viewership or ratings, but there’s only so many places for them to spew their nonsense.
