In the early days of CNN it was a neverending newscast except for Larry King’s program.

I didn’t realize that it was John Malone taking over CNN. He’s well-known here in Denver, where he founded Liberty Media and was one of the pioneers of the industry. I also think he’s fairly conservative, though that’s just an impression I’ve always gotten from him.

Bring back the days of one no name guy at a desk reading the news, all nouns and verbs, no adjectives and adverbs, from a sheet of paper. No fake analysts, commentators, politicians’ brothers, gender and color hires. Screw diversity, just give me the facts.
