I would not want to be the doctor doing a colonoscopy on a guy that old. I should think he is too old. After a certain age, you figure he’s gonna die sometime anyway so why do a colonoscopy? You might find something that you have to try to fix. Maybe they think they can figure out why he is pooping himself during work.

NOT going to help his mental situation. A friend of mine underwent an endoscopy - she was slipping mentally a bit prior & was never the same after. I asked her daughter if she noticed a difference & she confirmed my impressions.
