Neither Biden nor his press secretaries need to answer, but the press CAN ask who is making the decisions behind the scenes. Unfortunately, other than Peter Doocey, the press does not ask any hard questions.
Pathological liars say whatever it is they feel like saying at the time. It appears that Biden has been a pathological liar his entire life

When I was a high school freshman I went through a brief phase of telling tall tales. I would be standing around with older boys trading stories and - I’m not proud of it - but I felt like I needed to impress them, or entertain them or something - and my real life seemed too unexciting.
I wouldn’t make things up from scratch - I would just tell something I had heard, as if it had happened to me. :-(
I was quickly cured of that when I got caught making something up - it was so embarrassing - I promised myself I’d stick to the truth from that point forward.
It’s so much easier to remember the truth - you don’t have to keep track of what you’ve said in the past!
I have no idea what drives full grown adults to make stuff up… especially people in the public eye - of course they are going to get found out.

Because they are too stupid to see what is going on. IMO, the administration handlers know exactly what they are doing. They are creating an independent of Biden and adversarial Kamala, so that when she takes office she will create her own brand. It is no accident that Kamala’s office is leaking that the Biden admin is racist.
