I guess the question becomes over giving money in advance. If the money is a gift and then the friend happens to buy a gun, and they later transfer it legally, it can’t really be a straw purchase.

We will find out when Dominick Black goes on trial in late November.

—no—the buddy bought the gun and kept it in his possession with the understanding that it would be transferred to Kyle when it became legal for him to possess in Illinois—

—the buddy loaned it to him in Wisconsin where it was legal for him to possess—

Dominick Black testified at Kyle's trial that he used Kyle's money to buy the gun.

As I just said, we shall find out when Black goes on trial later this month.

It is very possible that Dominick Black agreed to testify for the prosecution at Kyle's trial in exchange for a plea deal, one that possibly drops the straw purchase charge.

Yes, we will. I stated some time ago that if Kyle is acquitted the feds are going to be out for blood and Black's is the next neck on the block. The penalty for conviction of straw purchase, by the way, is up to 10 years in prison and a fine of $250,000. Black looks to be punished by process by a malevolent and corrupt DOJ in any case.

Dominick Black was the first witness for the prosecution. He very well may have cut a deal for reduced charges in exchange for his testimony at Kyle's trial.

Black admitted on the stand to a straw purchase using Kyle's money. Video in the link provided in my post above this one.

However, even more serious than the straw purchase is two counts of furnishing a deadly weapon to a person under 18, that was discharged and killed someone.

948.60(b) Except as provided in par. (c), any person who intentionally sells, loans or gives a dangerous weapon to a person under 18 years of age is guilty of a Class I felony.
(c) Whoever violates par. (b) is guilty of a Class H felony if the person under 18 years of age under par. (b) discharges the firearm and the discharge causes death to himself, herself or another.

The only thing they got right in the article was that it was a semi-automatic rifle.

You got to just love how they conflated a web of slanted statements into a condemnation of society.

“.....brought an illegally obtained AR-15 semiautomatic rifle to a chaotic street protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and shot three people, killing two of them....the judge got a phone call as he sat at the bench, revealing his ring tone to be Lee Greenwood's “God Bless the USA,” an unofficial Republican theme song....

The case is important for many reasons having to do with policing, guns, politics and the growing acceptance of right-wing vigilantism in America. Rittenhouse has somehow become a symbol of all those issues, with the country split down the middle on whether he should be condemned for carrying an illegally obtained assault weapon (which he may have transported across state lines from his home in Illinois) and killing people, or should be viewed as a hero for standing up to the left-wing mob and defending himself when challenged. His childlike demeanor confuses the issue even more. How could such an innocent-looking boy have done either of those things?

The facts of the case are well known, so I won't go into it in detail. Suffice it to say that Rittenhouse fashioned himself as a “medic” (a role for which he was entirely untrained) as well as a sort of adjunct militia member, protecting private property and supporting the police when he drove into Kenosha that night and ostentatiously patrolled the streets with his long gun. He was confronted by Joseph Rosenbaum, an ex-convict with a history of mental illness who threw a bag of toiletries at him. Rittenhouse fired his gun, mortally wounding Rosenbaum. He called a friend and said, “I just killed somebody,” as he jogged away from the scene.

Rittenhouse was chased by several people, including one man who tried to hit him with a high kick. Rittenhouse fired at that person but missed. Another protester, Anthony Huber, attempted to bring him down with a skateboard and Rittenhouse shot and killed him too. Gaige Grosskreutz, an armed protester and trained paramedic who also chased Rittenhouse, testified that the two men aimed their guns at each other and Rittenhouse shot him as well, wounding him in the arm. Then Rittenhouse simply walked away from this bloody scene, walking right past police lines, and went home. He turned himself in the next morning. At no point did the self-styled medic try to help any of the people he shot................”

If Kyle had an illegally obtained firearm, illegally transported it across state lines, and if he illegally brandished said weapon, then charge him for those crimes. The Prosecutor choose instead to go for homicide, even when a self defense please was both likely and sufficient.

Salon claiming a certain song a Republican theme song is doing a dog whistle to liberals and progressives.

Salon did get it right that there is a trend, but it is not a Republican or conservative trend. There is a trend regarding “.......policing, guns, politics and the growing acceptance of right-wing vigilantism in America.......”

If police are defunded, if riots destroy peoples property, if firearms are viewed as evil, then yes you will see people defending their own lives (as Kyle did in self defense) with firearms.

As to not rendering medical aid to someone who tried to kill you while being in the middle of a hostile crowd of rioters......talk about a nonsense concept.

—and I daresay that we need not worry that Hunter Biden will be charged , convicted and receive a maximum sentence for falsifying a BATF firearms purchase form—
