Prosecution gets to cross examine defense witnesses. I assumed by his reference to an Exhibit number, that prosecutor selected the video - but certainly I may be wrong on that detail.

Multiple videos of the riot and shooting of the night of subject were posted to FR threads that same night, into the morning and several days after.
FR is the best source of news.
I intentionally avoided all press about this. I still have not watched any of any videos. I only began watching yesterday because it is so odd for a defendant to testify and I wanted to see how well he would do.
Hopefully defense can get all mention of “provoke” in the context of self-defense, removed from jury instrction. There is no evidence that Kyle provoked, so the jury should be bothered with or given the opportunity to use that angle.
As for prosecutors, read what Flynn’s had to say, the january 6 political prisoner cases ... and in those cases not just prosecutor but judges too.
Prosecutors and judges most often work on the same team. Judges just have to act more discrete. Judicial conduct in this case is an outlier.

Yes. He had as much right as anyone to be there. Being armed was the norm so how can that be a provocation. Must have been the fire extinguisher, THAT was the tool that provoked. The prosecutor said as much.
