The guide says doctors should not say "Low-income people have the highest level of coronary artery disease in the United States."
Instead, it says, doctors should phrase the same idea like this: "People underpaid and forced into poverty as a result of banking policies, real estate developers gentrifying neighborhoods, and corporations weakening the power of labor movements, among others, have the highest level of coronary artery disease."

The AMA no longer represents the vast majority of physicians who actually care for patients. Most physicians are no longer members. The AMA is composed of government employed physicians and academic employed physicians. Their dues are paid by their taxpayer funded employers.The AMA slavishly toes the Marxist narrative.

Some 60 years ago my father, a family physician, was active in the AMA and served as a delegate to their governing body as well as was on several AMA committees. He would be appalled to see what this organization has become.

You are correct. When people hear of the “American Medical Association,” they think their views are widely supported by practicing physicians which is not the case. You have stated what the truth is and how sad it is that the majority of people do not know that.
