The newer tests, the swab is taken about an inch inside the opening of your nose; swab one side, then the other, then into the vial (if it’s lab checked) or onto the card (if it’s a rapid response test).

up. I still remember Freepers were CRYING on FR saying they cant pay obamacare by law. Loophole? Pay $575 “penalty” and you’re good. Well, I never did pay in the entire 8 years it was nailed unto us and probably the only Freeper who got away with it.

Well, at least two of us! To be fair, I did have Tricare for the last couple years of that, so it was irrelevant.

If it’s that big of an “emergency”, then everybody should be required to be tested. People who are vaccinated can get and transmit COVID, too. Not testing them is discriminatory and nonsensical.

Nah. The swabs are bulk-buy, mass-produced, individually-wrapped, sterile — like bandaids. There’s no way they’re doping them with anything; you could get around it too easily. Using your own sterile swab you bought at the drugstore pharmacy would totally run their evil plan.

Who will do the testing? Employers are not planning to cover the testing on site or cover the costs.

And yet, how many employees will be willing to pay for these testing all the time? 'Free' testing is disappearing, and I've seen them costing $65 or $100? PER WEEK?
Not to mention, if these extra costs cause an employees pay to drop below minimum wage, the employer MUST reimburse them. FLSA if I remember correctly.


If rapid home tests are allowed, will these test kits even be available (think run on toilet paper)?

Why would there be a run on these guys? You only need to buy one - then just leave it on your counter and take a picture of it next week. A single test should last you for months!


If we are required to test weekly for ChinaVirus, what else constitutes a "grave danger" to employee safety? There's a bunch of other diseases that are communicable and have similar or worse death rates, especially for working-age and younger employees. Why doesn't OSHA add a weekly testing mandate for Hepatitus A/B/C, HIV, tetanus, ChickenPox/Shingles, syphilis, gonorrhea, strep, pinkeye/conjunctivitis, chlamydia, herpes, malaria, MRSA, and so on? What about the one that's IDENTICAL TO THE CHINAVIRUS - why aren't we testing everyone for influenza each week?
