The Dems are the MAJORITY, they needed 3 GOP votes (not 2, my bad) to pass it, and that assumes that there weren’t any Dems votes in reserve, in case the GOP tried to fool them.

Voices of reason are often thrown under the bus here, Bob. True infrastructure has been too long neglected and this actually addresses some of it. States SHOULD take care of these matters but so many roads, dams and stuff are Federalized so there you go.

Also, if the Senate takes the lead on passing a bill it's a done deal - just awaits the House to work out the details as we just saw - so no need to soil one's Underoos. If you don't like it work against that representative, vote for someone better and damn sure don't let them near any money if you can help it.
