In the past, when I voted, I signed their little book, where it had an image of my signature, and I had to sign immediately below it. It was pretty easy to catch someone forging.

When I voted yesterday, not only was I not asked for ID (they haven't asked for ID in years), but the book I signed did not have any signature image for comparison. I could literally have been anyone who knows my name and address, because that's all they asked for.

Ballot counting is complicated here in NJ.
It's hard to know ahead of time how many you'll need to win and besides, there are some pretty big cemeteries in Essex county and you wouldn't want to deny the dearly departed their right to vote

I had to sign a pad and I saw that when it was turned to the poll worker my signature image was there for the worker to see.
