Republican Sen. Mike Lee said he ‘absolutely’ thinks Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin should switch parties on ‘Sunday Night in America’

.
Except Manchin hasn’t blocked a thing. He Voted to advance the $3.5 Trillion bill. That’s right, he voted to advance it.
He’s only delayed things and his record until now says he’ll end up supporting the Democrats ruining the country.
.
They also recently met at the Whitehouse.
Right now, if Manchin continues to throw monkey wrenches in Biden’s agenda, then the Republicans have him right where they want him.
The country is in a terrible mess and the Democrats are in nominal control of Congress as well as the White House. If Manchin switches to Republican, giving Republicans a majority in the Senate, the Democrats have even more ammunition than now to say, “You see? We’re trying to do something to help but the Republicans won’t let us.”
So if McConnell can outbribe Schumer in getting Manchin to be a trouble-maker in return for some future promises, it’s better for Manchin to stay where he is, for now.
In Utah the senate candidate is selected by the party and not through a primary election.
President Trump backed even Romney, no? Why not a switching Manchin ?
I rest my case.
Who is waiting in the wings to take him out?
The Attorney General Patrick Morrisey ran in the 2018 General Election against Manchin and lost 49.6 - 46.3. The Libertarian took 4.2% of the vote.
In the 2018 Republican primary election, Morrisey got 34.9% and the runner-up Evan Jenkins (Supreme Court of Appeals WV) got 29.2%.
I don't think it's a shoo-in to assume that there is a dark horse waiting to take out Manchin in the primary, but I could be wrong. I do think his opposition to the AOC-Sanders agenda will win him points in West Virginia as a Senator who can get things done, where a novice will be at the back of the line.

I suspect if Manchin bolts on the crazy Dems, he will choose to caucus with the Democrats anyway thereby leaving the Senate in the hands of Chuck Schumer. If he decides not to be the pantywaste he seems to be, and join the Republicans then he would get his choice of chairmanships and in a state that went 70% for Trump should have no difficulty in 2024. If he stays in the Schumer - Pelosi - AOC insane asylum he will likely be gone in 2024.
Munchkin says he is a moderate. He is no such thing.
If he were a Moderate, he’d have no place in the Democrat party! They only exist in the history books.
why?
we don’t need another liberal social republican senator
i mean we just planted one pos in tge ground not too long ago
can’t damn get rid of the current ones we have
OK. I saw something about his first being elected in 2010. I didn’t realize that was to fill-out Robert Byrd’s last 2 years. Knowing that he’s not ‘up’ for 2 more years makes his position that much more ambiguous.
