Former President Donald Trump says he would not mandate COVID-19 vaccines if he were still in office because he’d “sell it” to people to take voluntarily.
President Biden last month announced that most federal workers must get vaccinated or face losing their jobs and that companies with 100 or more employees must require shots or regular testing — drawing pushback from critics who accused him of overreach.
“I wouldn’t say to anybody, ‘You have to.’ But I would sell it. Look, I’m very proud of what we did with the vaccines,” Trump told political news host Bill O’Reilly in an interview that will air at 8 p.m. Monday on The First TV. “It was supposed to take five years and they said it wasn’t going to work. I did three vaccines in less than nine months and they do work, they work really well.”

I don’t even have to read the comments to absolutely know that many of The Donald’s worshipers here on FR will be tossing him under the bus.
I mean for many on FR the vaccine issues is settled science and no once can tell them different.
No he isn’t. Same on him. He will regret it in 2 years when they blame him for bypassing all the reasonable regulations.
Well, this is disappointing. But my refusal to take unnecessary vaccines predate President Trump. I have great affection for him, but he’s reading the room wrong, which means he may miscalculating other things also.
Not doin’ it.
Thank you for the clarity that is missing these days. Trump is a fighter, was a great President but he made mistakes like we all do. Point is, he made many less mistakes then the great majority of men who held the office.

You’ve been had.
They used you to push their vaccine. Your continuing support of experimental injections makes you look weak and stupid.
Trumps warp speed has turned into quite the political balance beam for him and a life and death lottery for the American people.
Politics suck.
You have to embrace that he is against mandates.
He won’t sell me on shots either.
He needs to approach it as a battle in war.
It came from China and traitors within US.
I would really like to see Trump distance himself from this mess. Regardless, I won't comply.

You and I both D-1. Wife and I, in our 70’s with co-morbidities both got the shots back in March. No side effects then or now. I am not at all certain about the efficacy of the vaccine. And yet I still vehemently oppose the mandatory orders. I hope everyone who got fired would join together and sue the crap out of their employers. I believe, with no real hard proof, the whole crisis has been manipulated to give the Commies in the US totalitarian control over the populace.
