Teachers and administrators are mandatory reporters for any youth protection issues. There’s no such thing as handling it in house.

I’m a senior volunteer with a national youth organization. If something isn’t reported and I become aware, it falls on me. There’s no wiggle room.

These vermin need to be charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and conspiracy to cover up a crime.

they were going to handle the matter “in-house”

This principal attempted to cover up the rape of a minor student on his campus. He should absolutely be in jail, and in a just world, much worse.

You are absolutely right. There is no wiggle room. The principal and any others who knew of this should be fired and convicted.

There is a commonly charged crime here.
Called Accessory-after-the-Fact.
No different than burying a weapon you know was used for a murder.

You’re 100% correct. But as we’ve learned, the only thing that matters is whether or not a prosecutor is willing to go after the school officials.

Unlikely in this case, sadly.

Not any more in Virginia. Too many minorities were being mandatorily referred to police. So my nice naive delegate (Dan Helmer) cosponsored and passed a bill that leaves it to the discretion of the principal. I call it the “Rapist Protection Act”.

A trans youth rapes a young lady, and you think they will call the police?

That doesn’t happen very often on “normal” public schools. Oh, it gets reported, but they don’t let the police know if the assaulter is really good at basketball.

Happened at a local school. The parents of the girl DID call the cops, but they were forced to leave town. The school WAS NOT HAPPY to lose their star forward.
