WaPo: Diversify ‘Overwhelmingly White and Christian’ Wyoming with Afghans
Breitbart ^ | 7 Oct 2021 | JOHN BINDER

Posted on 10/07/2021 5:52:58 PM PDT by E. Pluribus Unum

The Washington Post is promoting a proposal to diversify the “overwhelmingly white and Christian” state of Wyoming by resettling Afghans in the region.

As part of President Joe Biden’s massive resettlement operation out of Afghanistan, his administration plans to resettle at least 95,000 Afghans across 46 states. The only states or territories not taking Afghans are Hawaii, South Dakota, West Virginia, Wyoming, and Washington, DC.

Wyoming is the only state in the nation where the federal government does not annually resettle refugees. That is mostly because none of the nine taxpayer-funded refugee contractors have offices in the state.

In a piece titled “One state has never taken in refugees. Will it welcome Afghans?,” the Post explores a proposal by a local Episcopal church in Casper, Wyoming, to take in Afghans.

The Post interviewed a series of individuals for the piece, including those who said Afghan resettlement in Wyoming could “help with diversification” and break from their “conservative beliefs.”

The Post reported:

Whether that will happen, or even be possible, in this deeply conservative Western state remains in question. Wyoming, overwhelmingly White and Christian, has never formally welcomed refugees. Just a few years ago, debate over refugee resettlement spiraled into anti-Islam protests and a Koran-burning, alarming the state’s tiny Muslim population and dashing the hopes of its most prominent refugee advocate. Why bother with Wyoming? Flip Texas and Florida and there’ll never be another Republican President.

WHITE GENOCIDE.

AFGHANS OR US: WHO ARE THE REFUGEES?

Jared Taylor explains how 70,000 unvetted Afghans got here and asks the obvious question: When their neighborhoods fill up with foreigners, Americans move away. Doesn’t that make us refugees in our own country?

There’s actually a black section of summer cottages on Martha’s Vineyard that goes back more than 100 years.

Lots of Indian tribes in Wyoming. It’s hardly an “all white” state. The question should be, “how will Indians and Afghanis get along?”

Ok...let’s do that and every Christian in Wyoming just had a mission field delivered on their doorstep. Amen.

Get Jesus to people and people to Jesus.

If the refugees happen to be mountain people, this could backfire on the dems.

Mountain people tend to think in similar ways, so other than religion, they might get along fine.

If they are "city people", they probably won't like it there and leave eventually anyway.

Where are they going to work? Biden is shutting down oil and gas. The Union Pacific is stalled with diminishing container traffic. None of these rag heads would pass a background check.

Wyoming is not particularly cheap place to live. The government owns most the land. Houses are not cheap. Winters are cold and heating costs high. You have to have a gasoline or diesel truck because it's a long way to the nearest grocery store, and an electric golf cart won't cut it. The growing season is short and cool.

It seems the government wants to establish an Afghan welfare state in Wyoming.

Wyoming is not overwhelmingly White and Christian. Many many Indian tribes there. So we’ll see how the Afghanis get along with the Indians, and most interesting, how the Indians get along with them. Tomahawks, anyone?

Great post. Gubmint isn’t really smart enough to figure it out. Many Indian tribes there who live on gubmint $$$ and who will definitely challenge Afghanis. Going to be really interesting to watch Slow-Joe’s moronic decision play out.
