Users reported having issues accessing Facebook apps like Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and Facebook itself on the website Downdetector, which tracks outages and issues across various websites and services.
The issues began around 11:45 a.m. ET on Monday, according to user reports on Downdetector. They appeared to affect users in many countries around the world.
In a tweet addressing the outage, Facebook said, "We're aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products. We're working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience."
Instagram also addressed the outage on Twitter, saying, "Instagram and friends are having a little bit of a hard time right now, and you may be having issues using them. Bear with us, we're on it! #instagramdown"
In a tweet shortly after the surge in outage reports, WhatsApp said, "We're aware that some people are experiencing issues with WhatsApp at the moment. We're working to get things back to normal and will send an update here as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience!"

I only have facebook to talk to family members/few friends who have it) and of course, the facebook husky forum..other than that its worthless to me..rumors are that hackers got hold of everyone’s personal info from facebook and trading it online..phone numbers, names, etc..eh, for me, I get enough spam calls throughout the day on my cell phone a few more wont make a difference

Ive tried texting my brother who has verizon but so far no response, he is always late to respond anyway so not sure if its due to him working right now or his phone is down..my sis has tmobile, no problems, I have tmobile, things seem to be fine, not sure if the outage varies by state

If you are still using facebook, instagram or twitter - among others - YOU are part of the problem.
I’ve been banned for a few days without knowing why.
One time, I was banned for a day and they added two more days a couple hours later for something I said months ago.
I guess it makes them feel important.
To enjoy facebook is not the same as being addicted to it.
