America thinks the unthinkable: More than half of Trump voters and 41% of Biden supporters want red and blue states to SECEDE from one another and form two new countries, shock new poll finds

Many breathed a sigh of relief when President Biden was elected, not for policy but for a reunification of the country after four years of tumult and fiery division under President Trump. But eight months into the new presidency, America's deep disunity might not be letting up.

A new poll has revealed that political divisions run so deep in the US that over half of Trump voters want red states to secede from the union, and 41% of Biden voters want blue states to split off.

According to the analysis from the University of Virginia's Center for Politics, 52% of Trump voters at least somewhat agree with the statement: 'The situation is such that I would favor [Blue/Red] states seceding from the union to form their own separate country.' Twenty-five percent of Trump voters strongly agree.

The problem with doing this will be continual warfare as the Blue States will want us to support them.

I’m not saying that we can or should reach accommodation with people siding with Deep State.

I’m stating that I don’t think there are nearly as many Americans siding with Deep State as Deep State would like us to think.

Capisce?

It’s less about states and more about urban vs everybody else.

Think about it that way.

Sounds wonderful. We Floridians are terrified and New Yorkers and Californians are flooding our state. How to we stop them from ruining our state? We were a breath a way from a drug addict Socialist beating Desantis.

“New Yorkers and Californians”

AKA leftists from states like yours who decided to move to and take a dump on New York and California and are moving back home. Sorry but they are your people and now your problem.

“An easier path back to sanity is to strengthen states’ rights.”

That’s true, but a state’s right to secede is the ultimate right from which all other rights descend. Without that right, a state has no bargaining power.

Perhaps the idea of secession is only considered “unthinkable” because people fear that any move to secede will inevitably lead to another tragic Lincoln War to squash it.

If the federal government just let it happen without bloodshed, the two countries thus formed could theoretically co-exist as neighbors, and even learn from each other’s policy successes and failures.

Really, your idea of strengthening states rights and the idea of secession are not that different. After all, one of the most important state’s rights is….the right to secede.

Also political junkies on all sides are a minority of the population. If you wanna carve up the country maybe you should ask the 70% of the apolitical population if they agreed to be dragged into this fight.

There are no f...ing BLUE STATES. Wake up...There is only industrial scale voter fraud and corrupt media that is used to control us. Trump received more legal votes than any person in our history...

Please push back on anyone who infers that Democrats have a majority...they don’t.

We are living in a OLIGARCHY our media is hell bent on giving it legitimacy.

You are correct. The Federal government has become too strong. The Feds are source of the problem.

Yeah. Right. While people may think this works a particular way, keep in mind democrats would be involved in implementation.

This guy gets it. Newsom survived the recall when here in Los Angeles I saw 20 recall signs for every pro newsom sign? Los Angeles had the biggest Trump Truck and car rally in the entire country before the 2020 election but he lost here by a landslide? Parents complain in schools about CRT yet I never see any videos of parents praising them at all? Total and complete election fraud everywhere

Also, this narrative will be used to take away our 2nd amendment rights... THERE ARE NO BLUE STATES.

“It’s less about states and more about urban vs everybody else.“

True, but secession by states would soon lead to similar transformations within the states.

Immediately following the secession, the “Red” states, now free from the oppression of federal overlords in DC, would quickly adopt America First policies. They would end “sanctuary city” status - end job-killing treaties and regulations - end redistributive Marxist tax and spend policies - end fiat currency debauchment - end involvement in endless foreign wars.

The leftist parasites in large urban centers in Red states would be so unhappy with the new policies that they would relocate (secede) to a city in a Blue state which had policies more to their liking.

The Blue states would quickly become urban hell holes as urban parasites fleeing from Red state cities swarmed into their sanctuary cities. Within a year or two, the Blue states would see how well the Red states were doing and their people would soon vote them Red.

“Many breathed a sigh of relief when President Biden was elected, not for policy but for a reunification of the country after four years of tumult and fiery division under President Trump.”

The ‘fiery division’ while Trump was in office was driven by the insanity of liberalism facing off against a President they could not control.
The ‘fiery division’ today, however, is administration policy, still insane. It is the left’s quest to drag down the Nation and install the world’s latest communist regine.

It is time to consider, seriously, the Nation be split.

We're a threat to them as long as we are united. So stories like this, and MSM provocation, Biden 'resident provocation, are intended to divide and conquer. We have to stay together and turn to focus on the tyrants destroying America.

THE MSM/BIDEN/FOREIGN CONTROL can't face blue and red united. So we're going to be seeing increased levels of racial provocation, financial/religious/socioeconomic 'setups' to pit us against each other, while the filthy elites destroy us from their government/technology/media perches.

They are going to provoke riots and those will be infiltrated just like the Capitol Protests were, by operatives to make MAGA look violent. But once they infiltrate and foment race riots, they'll declare martial law is needed, or at least activate UN 'peacekeepers' already in the country.

What’s so “unthinkable” about that? The Founders fully intended for each state to have the unilateral right of secession. 3 states expressly reserved that right when they ratified the Constitution. 2 of those 3 were the leaders of their respective sections of the country, New York and Virginia. Every state understood itself to have that right.

but enough of the legality and history, let’s talk about the current state of things. a large section of the country is ruled by authoritarian Leftists. They seek to impose their rule on everybody and have nothing but contempt for any who dare disagree. Many institutions such as the new media, the entertainment industry, Academia, the federal bureaucracy, the senior ranks of the military and increasingly the judicial branch of the federal government are hopelessly corrupt bastions of these authoritarian Leftists.

It is not possible for us to live together. It would be much preferable that we peacefully separate. The alternative is a bloodbath.
