“People Will Bury Their Guns before They Surrender Them”
Political Science Rural Sociology Though gun violence is a global issue, the risk of firearm death is substantially higher in the United States than in other high-income nations. Guns are deeply rooted within American culture; however, different subcultures exist along the urban-rural divide. Such differences between urban and rural communities related to gun culture have been dubbed “firearm localism.”

No, this only talking about stashing away a few so that no matter what happens, they can’t get them all.
Nothing says we have to hide all of them, or even some of them.
However, we should make it known that we could be doing this.
“When they put a sign on the store window ‘give us your guns before entering’... will you do it as easily as you put on that mask”
Doesn’t that already happen now in some places?
Agreed. Know what’s more terrifying to a tyrant?
Scopes and drones.
That’s why the FAA acted so quickly to register drones capable of carrying any significant payload.
And scopes terrify anyone stupid enough to enforce.
Not burying mine.
Not surrendering mine.
Not participating in a Gun Buyback unless they give me good Money for a couple of old beat up cheap guns I have in my collection that haven’t had a round put through them in 30 years.
Biden says,
“Comeon man, we B2 bombers and a-bombs!
And shovels!”
Well, there are ways to frustrate those efforts, and remember prepping rule of 3.
One set of guns can be easily taken, it’s doubly difficult with two and a triple threat with three.
One set in your safe, one hidden in space in your home or outbuilding and a third tucked away near a whole lot of scrap metal.
Gun confiscation won’t occur until the robots are perfected. Then you will need RPGs.
Good luck running that around every acre in Texas.
Impossible task, not enough equipment, and really hard to operate when someone is shooting at you.
Truth is that nobody is going to find all the guns, and we aren’t going lie down like Australia and Canada.
That’s my thinking as well
Oh cmon if you’re burying you guns it’s well past time to use them.
I don’t know the sweep of aircraft with ground-penetrating radar, but don’t be too surprised by capabilities these days.
There are three types of guns.
1. The ones you built yourself with no Serial Numbers.
2. The ones you bought before you were required to fill out a 4473 ATF Form.
3. The ones you bought after the 4473 Form was required. Those are the ones you keep inside your “official” Gun Safe.
This time they will be collecting the people who ever owned guns.
No hiding this time.
“Former” gunowners and conservative vets are risks with no upside.
They will be liquidated and assets distributed to more reliable citizens.
Your chart in Post 27 needs to be on the wall in every classroom in the United States, under the American Flag and right next to the Declaration of Independence.
Best places I’ve heard to bury guns is in a junkyard or some place where lots of nails have been strewn. I know of several old houses that burned decades ago which might be a great place to bury them.
Or you can buy a keg of nails and “salt” an area to confuse a metal detector.
Exactly!!!
In 2007 I took a 5 day training course and a fellow student was from Australia and he said most had buried their guns rather than turn them in.
Well, those were NOT the people in the cities where the crackdowns are happening, so those buried guns aren't doing anybody any good.
I'm guessing that the sheep in the cities DID turn them in and are now paying the price.
