Excellent article. And cute little girl. Why do people do this to their precious children?
On what planet is this a just law?
Yeah, thank you for the inservice on how FR works. I really do appreciate it. You’ve helped me grow immensely as a person. I think I’m going to go back to school to become a better poster on FR. My 17 years here have obviously been insufficient to help me understand how it works here.
We all agree it is a stupid, mean law. But breaking it on behalf of several entitled, violent out-of-towners not only won't do a thing to change the stupid law; it would bring even more punishment for the hostess and the restaurant.
Since it wouldn't change anything except for the worse, what use would a grand gesture of defiance be? Are you personally going to support the out-of-work staff, or pay the owner's bills without an income?
From what I can tell, Carmine’s was doing what DeBlasio told them they had to do or be shut down—BLM should be hassling DeBlasio, not Carmine’s.
Like it or not; accept it or not; Carmine's is a participant in this war and they must choose a side ... then deal with the challenges of their decision as there will always be challenges however they choose.
But the important thing to bear in mind is that it's their decision to make and no one, in a free society, can make that decision for them.
In a war, far better to spend your energy attacking the general than attacking the person hired to hold his horse.
Blacks in NY and NJ may not like the vaccines but they looovvvveee wearing their dirty masks.
Masks are disgusting. Some people wear them so long they are molded to their faces (and of course dirty). But the thing that puzzles me is that people will go around wearing these things and then drop them under their chins or hang them from one ear, as if the mere presence of the sacred (useless) mask is enough to do the trick.
It’s an amulet.
