If you think about it, it is easy to fathom. The day Trump came down that escalator and announced his running, was the day the Deep State knew that he was trouble. The destruction of Trump started then.
It got worse as he gave the lying MSM crap and continued to speak of draining the Swamp. The derangement set in as DC pushed the stupid Russian thing and lame Impeachments.
While Pres. Trump was restoring America, his drawback was not being an experienced DC politician and knowing who to hire. He made a number of mistakes there, but he did great things for our Country. America WAS Great Again. He had the attention of the World that we were back after Obambi.
In Biden’s mind, it is under control. This is exactly what he wants. If more control is deemed necessary, it will come in the form of processing illegals into the country. Then there is the matter housing, health care benefits, cash assistance. That would be the Democrat meaning of control.
“Under control” means Biden’s thugs ban FOXNews and ship a few hundred thousand more COVID infected illegals to red states like Florida.
Yep that’s the one he was talking about all right not ours.

What I don’t get is deeper than that. How can people be so power-mad that they will do ANYTHING to destroy the USA. Where will they live after they have accomplished that goal? There is nowhere else to go after they turn the USA into the USSA. Do they think the revolution won’t eat its own and shoot them?
Apparently part of the frustration is that Joe refuses to wear diapers. Poops himself often in part because he likes his aides cleaning him up and in part out of anger as a form of retaliation against them.
As the old true saying goes, "Power corrupts - Absolute power corrupts absolutely". While some start out with good intentions, many just want to push their own personal agendas with whatever ideological beliefs they bought into. Think about the decades of academia indoctrination, MSM bias, higher politicians' influence, etc.
Even the well-intended at a local School Board have a need to go along with their fellow Board members. As the good climb the political latter, they lose the basic concept of representing their constituents. The higher they go the more power and less for the people. Re-elections are pretty much what politicians are about. And on it goes...
To answer your question directly: I don't think politicians with their power, influence, insider trading, money making schemes, political bribes, seats on Boards, amassed wealth, lobbying after politics, really think about such things. Through years of being protected, it just doesn't register. Then there are the few that actually think socialism and communism will actually work. Think about AOC and the Squad.
It's already under Biden's control, and he approves.

The film is about a newly appointed United States Senator who fights against a corrupt political system. In the film, the naive Mr. Smith wins against the huge entrenched interests only interested in enriching themselves.
Some things never change. Except in real life the bad guys keep rolling on and on and on.
Now you understand why Biden has implemented his open border policy to the world, which is now changing our country forever.
