Random control trials are not the be all and end all of showing whether a treatment is valid or should be tried. Clinical observation by a physician is valid. Providing treatment based on research theoreticals is valid (How do they think legit off label usage is arrived at?). Embracing a multiple prong attack against the virus using available information both from personal observation and research by others is valid and probably the best approach.
The attempts to restrict the flow of information because it might cause people to make up their own minds about their own health care should alarm everyone.
