With a prediction for very stormy weather ahead for the nation he loves, meteorologist Karl Bohnak signed off last week after being fired for refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine.
Bohnak had served as the weatherman at Michigan’s WLUC-TV for 33 years, according to The Washington Post. Gray Television, WLUC’s parent company, instituted a vaccine-or-else policy that went into effect on Wednesday.
“I am sad, but, to borrow a quote from a famous ballplayer, ‘I’m the luckiest man on the face of the earth’ because I had a dream as a kid to be a weatherman.
“That dream came true and to top it off, I got to broadcast weather for one of the most challenging, beautiful spots in the United States. As an added bonus, the people I broadcast to all across Upper Michigan were so kind and encouraging,” he wrote.
But a cloud has fallen over the land of the free, he wrote.

I think he should have identified as black, sent 20 bucks to Calypso Louie, and demand an exemption.
Wow, thanks. That is one of the most honest and straightforward posts I have read lately.

“...they have started talking about requiring the vax.”
Perhaps being talking to HR about the definition of a “hostile working environment,” ‘cuz it certainly sounds as if “they” intend to create one.

I have no way of verifying this, other than I know someone who works on a federally contracted DoD project at GD. The
DoD is pulling the necessary clearances from individuals at GD (and other contractors I’m sure) based upon their vax status).”
WTH ??!!??
Pulling clearances for not getting the shots?
Did that person say anything about people at GD pushing back over the shots?
Agree. One of my children is facing similar. It will not turn out well.
He is doing the opposite of what you say, and leaving them holding an empty dog collar.
excellent post
His hair is shorter than I remember, but then that was 25 years ago.
L8ter
I’ve wondered if the same Physicians, and all those who advised them who treated Pres. Trump, got together and devised an across the board treatment for the public at large might be a good thing.
It was relatively still early on with covid when they treated him....big minds got together with a plan then and it went well.
How long until people catch on that the COVID crazy train *is* the cattle cars?
When somewhere between 30% and 50% of the jabbed keel over?
Glad I refinanced before the market crashed due to no surviving buyers...
My first thought as well. Kudos to this weatherman.
It’s an odd mindset train that runs on the track of
“the truth is what I decide it is, because I can decide the truth”
Once that is decided, those not on board are the liars, frauds, and basically destroyers of worlds, so they’ve got to go. They’re blocking the tracks.
Eastwood Ravine, filled with bodies to the brim because theirs was the fake time machine made in China out of used pinball machine parts. :)
Excellent
Technically you are both right and I appreciate the correction. But I was not off, just sloppy with terms.
I should have said “controlled”, not “owned” by a parent company.
But before explaining WAPO’s “control”, I’ll give another example of how people like me jump to the ultimate connection without care to explain terms.
MOODY’S
Moody’s is “owned” by Berkshire-Hathaway which is owned by Buffett. What? No way. Moody’s (MCO) and Berkshire are publicly traded companies! And Berkshire owns only 22% of Moody’s stock.
Umkay, for political, statutory, and business purposes, controlling owners had their money managers come up with what is known as a “controlling share.”
To make it clear, if I own 100% of Moody’s stock both actively traded and on the shelf, one could say I “own” it and control it. If I own 95% of both active and shelf, you’d likely say I pretty much own it. If I own 51% of active, convertible, and shelf, you’d agree I “control” it as in I determine the CEO and Board Members.
If I own 22% of what is traded, you’d say “Nope! You ain’t owner!” But if I said I own 22% of what’s traded and a chunk of convertible preferred that upon conversion would bring me to 51% Common, you might say “Dang! I guess you do own the thang!” My 22% is a “controlling share.”
If my money managers control it under an LLC in my name or a network maze of asset protection LLCs, the closest owning/controlling LLC is the “Parent”; this is all terminology and chart diagrams. But all this is old Wall Street structure. Today, there are new kids on the block that play control games outside of trading exchanges.
There is another way for me to “own” in the context of “control” a company using a licensing contract. It effectively skirts regulatory and tax burdens.
If I own a software platform and execute a licensing contract that effectively CONTROLS the licensee, I “own” the licensee, not in title but in operations. A gray area emerges.
I’ll make it even simpler. If I “control” a home by controlling its entries and exits, controlling totally who comes and goes in perpetuity, then I pretty much own it but not really. The title holder could sell it but my license contract would be a forever encumbrance on it. A new owner would be under my control and passive, an owner in name only, actually a club member is more accurate.
So it is with Gray Television. They are “owned” oops “controlled” by license to Arc Publishing which is Amazon which is Bezos which is CIA which is controlled by central bankers aka Wall Street Investment “gangs” oops “Banks.”
No, I’m not a whacked out conspiracy nut. I’m just a guy who had an inside peek at the Top over many many years and who liked what he saw for many of those many years until I saw a change that rendered many of those that came to occupy the Top as our enemy of today.
24 years of Clinton, Bush, Obama achieved what Hillary Clinton ordered, “Let’s get OUR people in there!” The Top is a globalist soup controlled by the Davos Gang.
And Gray Television is part of that takeover.
“Arc is deeply integrated with Amazon Web Services which delivers unmatched speed, scale and ease-of-use for Arc clients. This collaboration, which includes AWS Media Services for video asset management, provides superior performance for broadcasters’ day-to-day work like giving them the ability to set up live video channels in minutes or to clip and edit live and on-demand video in real-time for immediate distribution.”
Gray is “owned” by the Swamp.
We good? Yeah, we good.
For a couple of years, the KFVS tower was the tallest structure on earth..one reason the Cape Girardeau-Paducah-Harrisburg TV market is one of the largest (geographically) in the country (55 counties, across SE Missouri, southern Illinois, western Kentucky and northwest Tennessee. Watching Channel 12 as a kid, I remember they would give regional weather forecasts for southwest Indiana and northeast Arkansas as well—they had enough viewers in those areas to give them the forecast as well.
KFVS was founded by a man named Oscar Hirsch, who also built the tallest building in Cape Girardeau to house the station and other tenents. He sold out in the early 80s when companies were snapping up TV stations (they were basically a license to print money in those days). New ownership looked at the ratings and had the good sense to retain the on-air staff. Even today, Channel 12’s ratings are up to 75% higher in some dayparts than their nearest competition, Channel 6 in Paducah.
Interestingly enough, one of my classmates from college is general manager of Channel 6, and another alum (about 3 years ahead of me) is the news director at that station (WPSD). On-air staff at WPSD was also known for its longevity....
What is going on with these mandates shouldn’t be happening here in America. These are un-American.
The two documentaries AGENDA and AGENDA 2 at the following website explain everything:

Watch the trailers for free. I never promote for sale a product on FR unless it’s a push to donate to FR but in the case of the AGENDA documentaries, I make an exception.
Get both for $34. Get 3 other friends or family members to chip in $10 to cover purchase, taxes and shipping.
The Producer is a solid Christian. He and his crew did an outstanding job and spent a ton of money making them. They sell in volumes at discount in the expectation that Christians and Jews will distribute copies to churches and synagogues. The documentaries are a must-see in order to understand the plan that is unfolding.
