Former Rep. Beto O’Rourke is preparing to run for governor of Texas in 2022, with an announcement expected later this year, Texas political operatives tell Axios.
Why it matters: O'Rourke's entry would give Democrats a high-profile candidate with a national fundraising network to challenge Republican Gov. Greg Abbott — and give O’Rourke, a former three-term congressman from El Paso and 2020 presidential candidate and voting rights activist, a path to a political comeback.

I predict COVID, Zeta variant, will hit around Summer of next year, conveniently. Dems will judge shop and sue to get all state elections laws suspended so that “people will not be prevented from voting.”
This is my firm conviction.
I can see him winning via fraud, but I don’t see him winning honestly. He got the idiot soccer mom vote last time, but he has made a lot of doofusy comments since then. During his first run, he ran of lot of ads in which he said vague stuff like “creating a better world for our children”, etc. Statements like “hell, yes I wanna take away your guns” will not play well in Texas.

Talk about tone deaf. Any dim who runs around saying that while our borders are wide open is an idiot.
Maybe they think they have brought enough people into the state to change us, but we are on top of the fraud around these parts. They wanted to make Texas like Georgia in 2020, but our leaders got out in front of that by removing the straight party ticket and limiting ballot drop off locations.
Beto was fresh a few years ago, but his presidential run made him look like a joke. And that is all that he is.
Besides, Matthew Mcconaughey is going to be Gov.
Would explain why we’re seeing the surge at the border right now trying to bring in enough votes to manufacture a victory for Beto.

I thought Matthew McConaghay was going to run for the Dem nomination for Texas Guv. I would doubt Beto the fool can match his star power in the primary.
Beto figures he’s got enough Mexicans and Latinos who have crossed the border to bring it home for him.

He scares me! Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, El Paso loaded with Democrats. The Dems are now working to discredit Gov. Abbott. Not to mention the hundreds of thousands illegally in Texas. Beto=jerk.
