...They could also further politicize the military.
New revelations showing how Gen. Mark A. Milley, the nation’s top military officer, quietly maneuvered to check President Donald Trump reveal the lengths that top officials went to prevent potentially rash action, but the disclosures also threaten to thrust the military deeper into the partisan fray, former officials said.
A series of dramatic inside-the-room accounts, including one in which the chairman of the Joint Chiefs promised to alert China’s top officer if Trump was preparing to launch an attack, provides new insight into military leaders’ response to the previous administration’s fraught final period.

New disclosures show how deep the hole that we are in is.
He needs to be cashiered out of the military, have his pension revoked, and every military supplier needs to be told if they hire him they will be off the list of approved suppliers. Let him go to China and work for the CCP.
Traitors walked through the open doors of Pelosi’s Pleasure Palace on January 6th, being sure to stay inside the Velvet Ropes in Statuary Hall.
Patriots undermined a duly Elected POTUS in 2020.
Got it.
Good idea .
All this nonsense about Trump attacking China(In my opinion totally justified after they created a virus and spread it worldwide) but I digress, President Trump NEVER EVER said he would attack China..EVER..not once..so Milley even telling China he would protect them from a future attack was ridiculous since Trump never made any threat of doing so
No one on planet earth believes Trump and America were going to attack China. Any who believed that are certifiably insane.
Let him go to China and work for the CCP.

Seems like he already is.
Has this been brought up anywhere?:
Suppose _a_ President ordered a strike and the Chair of the Joint Chiefs, after raising objections or simply disagreeing, tipped their peer in the target country of the impending event. Service personnel would be entering hostile territory and, if their target is aware of everything about the strike, almost certainly headed into an ambush.
How is that guy a hero for letting personnel walk into an ambush like that?
Would such a person call off the strike on their own by telling everyone they spilled the beans? That’s still treasonous, but all the immediate fallout is on them alone. I’m sure there would be other repurcussions—a counterstrike or war could still take place, among other things—but that would have to happen to avoid making a terrible situation from being horrific, IMHO.
...But I’ve not heard nor read such a situation gamed out.
Usurping commend of the Military sounds a bit rash to me.
Usurping command of the Military sounds a bit rash to me.
Make an example of Milley.
Firing squad, at dawn, on live TV.
Milley is wrong, in every way, and must be tried, convicted and executed.
Just like the nonsense about Russian collusion to justify spying on his campaign. See a pattern here? Trump showed no propensity to start wars through his entire term. Totally bullish__ excuses.
Milley is a dumbass, but he is just one person.
Where are the General Officers who screamed at him and threw their rank at him?
Milley should have told Pelosi, “I work for the President. Thanks for your bullshit.”, and then hung up on her.
The Democrats have made it clear to our military leaders that if the military leaders oppose any Democrat politician or policy, than the Democrats will cut the military budget.
The Democrats, with their pals in the Press, blackmail the military.
Our enemies have found that the most cost effective way to destroy the United States and our military is to bribe Democrat politicians.
IMHO this China call controversy is a smokescreen trying to defuse the entire issue. The most serious aspect of his reported actions is that reportedly the Chair of the Joint Chiefs, Gen. Milley, instructed subordinates to ignore orders from the constitutionally legitimate civilian authority, President Trump, thereby usurping said authority. Furthermore, Gen. Milley used an ad hock approach instead of 25th Amendment procedures as an illegitimate method after prodding from arch Trump enemy and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. Wyy didn’t Gen. Milley consult with any Cabinette members if he was concerned about the President’s mental state?
Its in place!... and the answer now has already been given in Senate testimony ....
‘What difference, at this point, does it make now’
Up against the wall without a blindfold is what that POS deserves.
It makes sense especially in the wake of rumors that Trump might run in 2024. If the Afghanistan withdrawal hadn't turned into a disaster Milley would have been portrayed as a "military genius" and Trump as a "chump" and a "psycho."
Instead, Milley is the one looking like the loser pantload psycho chump and Trump is looking like the shrewd statesman who once again has been proven to be right.
Not at dawn....during prime time.
This traitor deserves to have more Americans see him get his just deserts.
