Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has slammed Texas Governor Greg Abbott over the state's strict new abortion law, but drew mockery of her own for using the phrase 'menstruating persons.'
The progressive New York Democrat spoke out in an interview with CNN on Tuesday, slamming Abbott as ignorant of reproductive science but appearing to trip over her own phrasing.
'I don't know if he is familiar with a menstruating person's body. In fact, I do know that he's not familiar with a woman -- with a female or menstruating person's body,' said Ocasio-Cortez.

AOC is an idiot, but you are wrong. Medical determination of time of pregnancy is from the first day of the last period. Always has been. Six weeks is two weeks late. That said, if a woman is concerned, there are pregnancy tests that are accurate a week before your period is due.

Since the start of last menstrual period is usually easier to determine than date of ovulation, obstetrics traditionally measures from date of LMP.
Unless there is a fertility specialist placing an embryo - they date from that.

The democrats always do this. When a woman with a 28 day cycle which is about normal, becomes pregnant in 14 to 17 days, she bypasses her normal period on 28 days. In about 12 to 14 days she starts to develop systems of pregnancy such as stomach upset and other things. This is only 2 weeks. She does not have a normal period and starts to suspect she is pregnant. After 4 weeks without a period, I am sure she questions. But by 6 weeks she is reasonably sure she is pregnant. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a true democrat in that she tries to mislead the populace that a girl does not know in 6 weeks. She is a liar!
