His presence would turn the funeral into a MEdia-fueled TDS hatefest which is not befitting the honor and dignity of the funeral service.
I’m sure he will work out something with the family, but it will probably be very private.

I agree. Trump’s presence at the funeral would, unfortunately, put the focus on him and not where it should be. Perhaps the best thing Trump could do is send a letter of condolence, and then make a private visit afterwards.

You’re correct on all points. I suspect that Trump will do whatever the family thinks is right. It will be entirely up to them, and if they can handle the circus, he’ll be there anyway to give honor to the fallen. Screw the media.
