Colonial Williamsburg will be bringing a showcase of gay and transgender historical reenactments to life this fall.
At the start of October, a new musical called Ladies of Llangollen will be on display. The musical will be based on the diaries and writings of two women who fled Ireland and eloped in Wales during the 18th century.
In 2019, the Colonial Williamsburg foundation created a Gender and Sexuality Diversity Committee to research gay and transgender issues during the Colonial era. According to the committee's findings, they uncovered multiple instances of transgender and gay issues.

Researchers, reportedly, had to decode the language and learn whole new sets of terminology to aid in their research.

And at best they were driven out of the community; at worst they were killed.
Those were the facts of life for a homosexual in colonial America.
Colonial Williamsburg, home of the George Washington burger and the Thomas Jefferson fries.
They did change years later and include blacks in the story.
God damn these bastards.
Last was there for nice anniversary in 2011.
Hoping to take son down, but I doubt it now!
We should be writing our dismay.
I don’t want to know.
They were punished for much less.
Will they re-enact the muzzies throwing homos off buildings?

Tallies just cut them to pieces alive ...
It has been known for centuries the British navy favored rum, sodomy and the lash but I’ve never seen or read about the sodomy part in any museum sites.
Unfortunately, it seems Baron von Steuben may have been homo.
That’s OK, he didn’t rub it in our faces, and he did Washington and the US a great aid.
Yep..... anything to destroy and/or warp history. Par for the course with commies.
There were no doubt gay* people during those times. And I’m sure some had secret affairs due to the horrible laws that existed at the time. You had to hide or die. But the role that oppression played in terms of history is not something that is very relevant to Colonial Williamsburg and the general history it is intended to portray. And going through diaries to find examples is often done carelessly and with an agenda.
*Gay used to mean homosexual, not as a word of self identification since people would have recognized their attraction to the same sex, but would not have thought of it as an identity back then.
Nor did he apparently rub it in the many trainees he trained in the state of the art of war in Revolution times. Leadership valued the knowledge and civility/discretion was rendered in turn given also that if it were what some historians think—criminal acts. A fascinating classicist tale of a military asset vs. the British Empire.
Was a huge aid to our new Republic, and adopted his aides North and Walker and left his estate to them, and another a huge library of great value still available today.
If it is real American history, (very Christian in nature), burn the cities, kill the police, violate all the laws, destroy the monuments, burn the books, end the jobs and lives of them all non-sodomite/non-pedo embracing family lovers!
Then they can finally be free to re-write history, with their fake sodomite “history”, to deepen the social justice and sodomite perversion of our children and society.
Yah, we know the bigger picture -
Will they be x-rated?
Without a spiritual awakening, this Republic is being judged.
We are in the throes of destruction.
What’s next from these Clymers? A movie about gay Nazis tilted “Schindler’s Lisp?”
aka “fiction”
They had a better society due to those “horrible” laws. Homosexuals are destructive.
And getting a SWEET paycheck while they were writing their fiction.
The footsoldiers of the Left are treated well.
Maybe they need to read “The pink swastika” to see what the nazis dealt with homosexuals.
It was not what we have been told.
