Brand New Key and Midnight at the Oasis-both are teeth gritting and cringe worthy-but they remind me of going to college during the day-and working nights as a cocktail waitress at a tourist-y nightclub to pay for it, dating a cop I met there, having a tiny cheap upstairs efficiency apt with blacklight posters stapled to the ceiling, etc-good times...

It might seem surprising that someone on FR would like a song that has long been associated with the Democrat Party. However, it was conceived as a patriotic tune. In the movie Chasing Rainbows, it is used in a production number celebrating Armistice Day.
