Why in the world would the Taliban want biden gone? I think, if you’ll check, the Taliban is now probably the 8th or 9th best equipped military in the world, thanks to Biden.
I don’t think they care. And I don’t think they’re dumb enough to think that Biden thought this up on his own. They know he’s a sock puppet. They could just stir the sh*t. No need to release any hostages if he resigned, either. They have no love for Biden, or America.

I once worked for privately held distribution company, in the Operations manager’s office was a similar pair.

its absolutely overstated. I think its close to ZERO. Its a stupid, simple, throwaway line the media repeats which no one questions. Afghanistan was always a war-zone. There are no tourists, no business-people, and very few NGO or cultural people who were not embedded with military or embassy. America's asinine media makes it sounds like the Taliban surprised everyone and all the midwesterners visiting Kabul Disney are now under siege.
They don’t need to know where it is. The President said no Americans would be left behind and now it seems inevitable that they will. If they rescued 4 to 5 thousand Americans so far (that’s the latest number) that leaves thousands still there. Americans. I doubt they all decided that they want to stay there.
And the media will squash any stories of weeping mothers and wives of US contractors who are missing and have not been heard from .
