I’m not rooting for this to happen, but any Americans left behind are going to get slaughtered when they’re discovered. The Biden Administration will claim “Mission Accomplished” on 08/31.
If Americans are still in A-Stan by then, I believe the US offers concessions to get them out.
I don’t believe there will be beheadings right away - the Taliban is much more PR savvy than they were in 2001. I would expect Americans to be accused of spying, etc.
I don’t know what the US media will do. Foreign media I do not believe will turn a blind eye.
