FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) — Conservative radio talk show host Phil Valentine has died after weeks in a Nashville area hospital battling COVID-19, according to his station, SuperTalk 99.7 WTN.

During a live broadcast at 4:15 p.m. Saturday, several of Valentine’s coworkers and close friends announced they had spoken with Valentine’s brother Mark, who confirmed the 61-year-old passed away earlier in the afternoon.

The article you cite says that the use of remdesivir requires careful management. Which is a very far distance from your “remdisivir will make covid worse.”

I guess my doctors managed my remdesivir course of treatment appropriately, as I managed to improve slowly during that time.

Frankly, the treatments I was given were mainly to enable my body’s immune system to have a breather, marshal its resources, and start to fight the ‘rona. During that time, they just don’t want the ‘rona to get worse.

It’s a shame that treatments like hydroxychloroquine, etc. have been sidelined, but really, the monoclonal antibodies are the first lamestream treatment that actually fights the disease.

Regarding the highly vaxxed Iceland and Israel experiencing outbreaks today, I have the following questions:

1. How many percent of these cases are among the vaxxed vs. The unvaxxed?

2. Of the breakthrough vaxxed cases, how many percent of them are severe? I am not worried about breakthrough cases like Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who is by all indicators, asymptomatic. I’m more concerned with those ill enough to be hospitalized. This is not supposed to happen among those vaccinated.

3. How many percent recorded deaths among the breakthrough cases compared to the unvaxxed?

Don’t get me wrong, I am a cheerleader for ANY successful weapon against the Coronavirus, but I want to be a REALIST when it comes to efficacy.

There is every indication that the antibodies from the vaccines start to WANE after 6 to 7 months. The current experience of Israel, which vaccinated their citizens very early ( late December last year), seems to be telling us this.

There is evidence as you said that natural immunity from previous infections last much longer as shown in the experience of
SARS-COV-1.

Dr. Robert Malone, one of the pioneers of mRNA technology tells us that the current vaccines that target the Coronavirus Spike Protein only covers one aspect of the complexity of SARS-COV-2. His analogy is that of a basketball game where a team’s defense iverly focuses on the opposing teams Star Scoring Player. This might work, but don’t forget that the other 4 players who are relatively free can score against you too. Hence, the breakthrough cases that we see.

Natural immunity on the other hand looks like the more well balanced defense that not only defends against the spikes, but other insidious aspects of the virus.

“Over 13,000 according to VAERS. But, I guess you would consider these as ‘acceptable’ losses.”

Your pseudo-science is showing. VAERS has reported over 13,000 vaccinated people have died. Died. NOT FROM the vaccine. DEATH FROM ANY CAUSE after vaccination.

Meanwhile:

“Texas has seen nearly 9,000 COVID-19 deaths since February. All but 43 were unvaccinated people.

Preliminary data shows 99.5% of COVID-related deaths in Texas were among unvaccinated people, according to the Department of State Health Services.”

I got to meet Phil briefly at a troop support rally he held at Centennial park, I believe in 2002. I wasn’t familiar with him at the time but from that day forward I was a regular listener to his show. I’ve missed him the past few weeks and it hurts knowing I’ll never get to hear him again.

Well, not totally. His PodGOATS page is still up and I listened to several of the podcasts last night. He and Campbell had so much fun with those and they’re entertaining to listen to. It was painful last night, though, because I kept thinking about how hard the loss is hitting his family and there’s nothing any of us can do to ease their pain.

A couple of the side effects of carboxylesterase-2 deficiency is a raised Cholesterol level and weight gain.
Again Niacin with some melatonin will correct what remdesivir screwed up.

The coronavirus death counts suffer a similar fatal flaw as the vaccination death counts. It’s died WITH, not died from. Some months back, I actually read a leftist defense of classifying a motorcycle accident death as a coronavirus death. LOL!

Leftist politics has badly gunked up all of the standard ways of looking at this empirically.

Well, I could use a little extra cholesterol. I’m genetically disposed to borderline unhealthy low levels of cholesterol. As to weight, while on the remdesivir in the hospital, I lost 15 lbs.

So, again, I guess my doctors managed my treatment appropriately, and your statement, “remdisivir will make covid worse” without any qualifiers whatsoever is again falsified.

I am a local and long-time listener of Phil.

I loved Phil, as I did Rush. I’ve lost two radio hosts inside of 1 year.

I’m still mourning Rush, “the best friend I never met”, and then this happened, despite my prayers.

He was the son of a conservative North Carolina Democrat representative of the 80’s. Phil had disagreements with his father over the years.

I believe the source of his “rebellion” against his father was that at some point in his life, he (Phil) made a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and was an early adopter of the new Republican South.

He is a my hero (along with TN Sen. Marsha Blackburn) because they almost single-handedly stopped the Tennessee State income tax bill which Rino Gov. Sundquist would have signed, if passed by the TN Assembly. (They encouraged people to drive around the state capitol and honk their horns)

On his radio show, he was consistently:
Anti-illegal immigration, anti-global warming (made a great video “An Inconsistent Truth”), pro-life, anti-tax, anti-RINO, pro-American, pro-military, pro-Trump, and every other conservative position you might imagine, and made a great case for each.

Over all, he was, in Mark Levin’s word’s, a “Great American.” He was cognizant of the lies foisted upon us by the deep state, the media, and the one-worlders.

In other words, we could not have had a better talk show host for Nashville and surrounding area. We are better, for having had him for these many years.

Thank you Phil and God bless your wife and 3 sons.

Agreed. The one guy I know who died of COVID died WITH COVID. He had a heart attack 10 years earlier, lost half of his heart tissue, and was told he’d be lucky to live 5 years. Last spring he collapsed (without symptoms) in the yard, clutching his chest. He was rushed to the hospital but never regained consciousness.

But they then tested him and found COVID, so he “died from COVID”.

Right.

I believe getting the vaccine should be 100% voluntary and am pissed that it is not. A guy I know is being told to retire ASAP or be fired in two months after decades at work. His objection to the vaccine is undoubtedly religious - he objects to the vaccines being developed using stem cells from an abortion. Should be automatic religious exemption but he may have to go to court at his expense.

Insane.

Like me three sons

Gut punch and his dear wife like me from mississippi

I too was born in North Carolina

Goldsboro

We all feared it was coming I’m sure you did too

Just sucks

Your post was very eloquent and heartfelt

My oldest boy who’s hard right youth in 4chan and was instrumental in finding Shia LaBoufs flag in east TN generally eschews talk radio as moderate

But my son said when he heard

I may think Phil a bit pragmatic but he and Rush I enjoyed

My whole family was sad

We remembered all the rallies when my kids were little

I have threads and pics here with it

Phil organized most of them

Life ain’t fair

He was a devoted christian so there is that

Thank U again

The problem is so much duplicitous data

From every side

It’s narrative driven

You can cite pro vax data from day ABC

I can find a contradiction from Bannon or Revolver

Malone I like as I do the Frenchman

But like Carmine said to Butchie and Tony in the cold warehouse when Phil Leotardos fate is settled

“It didn’t have to be this way”

Objective science being so politicized is malignant same as a captured propaganda media is

And it’s getting people killed

When I was a kid the cdc was respected

Small, not double blind - you've read all of them? You really think they do the normal standards for the vaccines?

I am not getting vaccinated. Israel, Once the Model for Beating Covid, Faces New Surge of Infections One of the most vaccinated societies, Israel now has one of the highest infection rates in the world, raising questions about the vaccine’s efficacy.

Israel has 85% adult vaccinated and has 2x per capita covid cases in the last week as the US.

After the 1st SARS of 2003 and the MERS virus of 2012 some attempts were made to create vaccines for them using whole viruses. SARS and MERS are essentially close cousins of Covid-19.

In both cases the vaccines worked, they did generate antibodies, but the test animals also experienced ADE and died. Since those two viruses died out on their own nothing more was attempted on them.

I wonder if the necessity of avoiding ADE results in the Chinese covid whole virus vaccine being somewhat ineffective.

Yes, they do. You can read the studies yourself. Because it was happening under Trump, it was highly scrutinized.

A total of 43,548 participants underwent randomization, of whom 43,448 received injections: 21,720 with BNT162b2 and 21,728 with placebo

Large, and double blind.

https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/nejmoa2034577

Small, not double blind - you've read all of them?

The abstracts, yes. And I pulled the largest which shows no effects. If I missed one larger, show it to me and I'll read it.

Israel has 85% adult vaccinated and has 2x per capita covid cases in the last week as the US.

Israel has 80 cases per 100k. Over the last 14 days, Mississippi has 120 cases per 100k, Florida has 109 cases per 100k Louisiana has 108 cases per 100k. We live in a big country, so the delta variant is moving through the country, several states at a time. Likely will move north as the weather cools.

You just love to cherry pick-pro vaccine data. Israel is at 80 and Florida is slightly higher but florida also has had tens of millions of vacationers in the last 3 months there plus tens of thousands of covid infected people coming up from central america. Look, you continue to pray to your vaccine gods. Meanwhile, the data shows the vaccines don’t work after a few months and God knows I’m not getting a shot every few months.

PS Per the NYT article, Israel’s infections this time are in the urban, highly vaxed areas and not in the rural, less vaxxed areas, so its likely Jerusalem, etc are in line with Florida, if not higher. And Israel is STILL rising while Florida appears to be peaking.

If most hospital deaths in the first 9 months of coronavirus were attributed to Covid on the basis of a mere overcycled test, the it’s only fair to attribute any death shortly after getting the vaccine to the vaccine. You can’t have it both ways.
