The Taliban has seized US weapons left in Afghanistan worth billions — possibly including 600,000 assault rifles, some 2,000 armored vehicles, and 40 aircraft, including Black Hawks, according to reports.
The US gave the Afghan military an estimated $28 billion in weaponry between 2002 and 2017 — including seven brand new helicopters delivered to Kabul just a month ago.
The war chest also included the supply of at least 600,000 infantry weapons — including M16 assault rifles — as well as 162,000 pieces of communication equipment and 16,000 night-vision goggles.
In just two years from 2017 to 2019, the US gave 7,035 machine guns, 4,702 Humvees, 20,040 hand grenades, 2,520 bombs and 1,394 grenade launchers, The Hill noted, citing a report last year from the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR).
“Everything that hasn’t been destroyed is the Taliban’s now,” one US official told Reuters, speaking on the condition of anonymity.
It has left US officials clinging to the hope that the aircraft will prove too tricky to maintain and fly for the Taliban to use effectively — with a leader this week admitting the group did not have trained pilots.
“Ironically, the fact that our equipment breaks down so often is a life-saver here,” a third official told Reuters.
But just having night-vision goggles — of which the US has given at least 16,000 since 2003 — is a huge advantage.
“The ability to operate at night is a real game-changer,” one congressional aide told Reuters.

Pakistan cannot get the parts for the UH-60A’s. The only source of parts are through DOD. They can’t even go to Sikorsky to get parts since Sikorsky cannot and will not sell to them. Even if they learn to fly them, it won’t be long before they are grounded because of mission critical subassembly failures that they cannot repair.

There is no way on earth a no name shop can fabricate some of the aviation and electronics parts. Even some of our multi billion dollar military repair depots do not have all of the specialized capabilities to fabricate some of these parts. Someone can try to mimic a part but it will not be to spec and it will fail. I sure as heck would not be on a helicopter held together with parts made in Achmed’s garage.
There is something just not right with this. I am not excusing Joe Biden in no way, but would some military people explain the chain of events. As I see it the call to pull out of Afghanistan would have been made by the POTUS. Then after that it seems the military commanders would have been responsible for the execution of the plan, which is where it gets hazy. From there the plan seems backwards, like closing the base, did they leave equipment there? Withdrawing the 2500 existing troops? A person who plays RISK could have made a more strategic plan. Was it intentional or just stupid
The thing to ty to understand is WHY.
Because TeamTrump had identified about 100k deserving Afghan patriots to evacuate [+ all the Americans, obviously]. But TeamBiden didn’t want a hundredK of patriotic, Trump-grateful, freedom fighting nationalists at the front of the line. So they scrapped the plan, knowing that chaos would ensue, and are now leaking the list of patriots such that the folks getting evacuation are the top of the heap of whiners, guvmint-dependent, “peaceful muzzie”, misunderstood, mediotic, elitist [bribe paying], future democraps. China neither needs the small arms, nor are they really threatened by them. Nor would China abide by any “rules of engagement” against the Taliban if necessary, and the Taliban know it. China will “butter their bread”, and is already making them “kings” as well. It is clear the anti-American leftist deep state in DC are “on board” with China.
The regional dynamics will now change in shocking ways. And it was/is preplanned. And yes, this includes inevitable blood baths.
These 600,000 weapons were not for the 60-80 thousand Taliban. Nor were they for the 200-250 thousand (grossly over estimated number by the way) Afghan Army, which doesn’t exist now at all regardless. Nor were they for the roughly 4000-6000 US servicemembers. And we aren’t even bringing up the heavy weapon systems, equipment, and war machinery, and massive infrastructure.
With China in control (and significant Russian macro policy influence, and the Kremlin formal military alignment with Beijing), and knowing the pre Trump US administrations pro-Iranian/anti-Israeli unelected, untouchable, leftist deep state are the current Buyden puppet masters, this transfer of billions of dollars in war machinery can only be aimed at arming Iran to the teeth.

The purpose would then have to be the global leftist (including US leftists), have determined to make Russian and Chinese backed Iran into the dominant Middle East hegemon.
