The Food and Drug Administration is pushing to approve Pfizer-BioNTech’s two-dose Covid-19 vaccine on Monday, further expediting an earlier timeline for licensing the shot, according to people familiar with the agency’s planning.
Regulators were working to finish the process by Friday but were still working through a substantial amount of paperwork and negotiation with the company. The people familiar with the planning, who were not authorized to speak publicly about it, cautioned that the approval might slide beyond Monday if some components of the review need more time.
An F.D.A. spokeswoman declined to comment.
The agency had recently set an unofficial deadline for approval of around Labor Day.
The approval is expected to pave the way for a series of vaccination requirements by public and private organizations who were awaiting firmer regulatory backing before implementing mandates. Federal and state health officials are also hoping that an approved vaccine will draw interest from some Americans who have been hesitant to take one that was only authorized for emergency use, a phenomenon suggested by recent polling.

This is absolutely insane. Every day adds new horrors to this dystopian nightmare.
LOL!
I would think that should override the emergency liability immunity.
At work, saw your post right after I said the same thing.
All vaccines are indemnified against lawsuits.
I was vaccinated with Pfizer in December and I will get #3 as soon as I can.
However.
Not sure why or even how the “FDA is pushing for” approval. Does the FDA have to push itself? The FDA is the approving body.THey don’t have to “negotiate” with the CDC. They don’t have to “negotiate” with the company.
They just have to do their thing.
So a shot that is now down to 39% effectiveness against the illness that it is suppose to prevent with more death and injury associated in 6 months than all other vaccines in the last 30 years combined is going to get FDA approval... And this while inexpensive, effective and safe treatments have been used by millions of people all across the world have been given the thumbs down in the US. Wow that FDA is really a trustworthy government agency!
Nothing like approving an experimental vaccine, that does not work and is harming more people than all previous vaccines combined. Awesome….
A whopping 42 percent effective against the Delta variant
“I’m just going to wait until they require every hour”
Don’t give em any ideas
who is going to sign this approval?
wouldn’t want to be them...
time to protest fda and pfizer...
YOU.ARE.CORRECT.SIR!
True.
See this
Under the PREP Act, companies like Pfizer and Moderna have total immunity from liability if something unintentionally goes wrong with their vaccines.
A little-known government program provides benefits to people who can prove they suffered serious injury from a vaccine.
That program rarely pays, covering just 29 claims over the last decade

Thanks for posting.
But they DO have to negotiate with the likes of Gates, Soros, Obamao, Pelosi, Schumer, and — most importantly — Chairman Xi.
This is a political move, has nothing to do with medicine
“...further expediting an earlier timeline for licensing the shot...”

A small thanks to the NYT for not using the gag-inducing, Brit-slang “jab”.
As if FDA approval is supposed to mean anything to me. Bullshi##ing is their business, but they can’t bullsh#t me. I’ve been screwed and lied to by this government too many times.
Why are they finally giving the green light to a vaccine that has garnered an ungodly amount of deaths and injuries, and at the same time they are telling you that you will need a booster after you take the double shot of doom because these shots don’t work worth a tinkers damn? Makes sense, no?
