However, during the trial -and after the untested vaccines were given emergency use authorization- the vaccine companies conducting the trial decided to break protocol and notify the control group they were not vaccinated. Almost all the control group were then given the vaccine.

Purposefully dissolving the placebo group violates the scientific purpose to test whether the vaccine has any efficacy...

Dictionaries are descriptive, not proscriptive. I was in the business for many years, and often we didn't like the new usage but it was prevalent and so we had to accept it. (Same with changes in grammar: When it became accepted, we had to accept it from our authors and copyeditors.)

The current accepted definition of "vaccine" includes the mRNA ones.

I'm not a propagandist. More than most people, I like to stick to the facts and stay away from anecdote and statements that are pure opinion. I am trying to persuade people, but I am upfront about it, and hope the facts will do it.
