Henri formed in the mid-Atlantic. After initially following a loopy southward and westward track, Henri is forecast to move northward toward New England.

Imagine thousands and thousands of trees falling on power lines. Thousands and thousands of very tall, HEAVY trees falling on power lines here in the northeast. I love the various types of palm trees in the South, but our northern oaks, pines, etc. are very heavy by comparison.

The cone now shows landfall in Rhode Island Yeah, our local NBC CT news (based in West Hartford, CT) said at 11pm that Henri will touch down around Block Island, then hit the mainland of Rhode Island, near the CT border. The winds will be worse in the eastern part of CT than the western part of the state.

What is “safe”? I’m in a mobile home.
However, this particular mobile home is a ‘68, which means it has survived 55 New England Seasons.
