Citizenship starts at the Afghan embassy. A green card will be issues to each applicant as soon as they prove they personally escorted 10 illegals to and across our Southern border. If the illegal returns, the green card is revoked.
Make ‘em earn their keep. Personally the idea of allowing thousands of muslims into the USA in a big batch is repulsive.
Unless they can show they served as translators or helped the military or served at higher levels of the Afghan government, screw them. The women at risk narrative for domestic identity politics purposes does not work either. After all, did the Taliban not have mothers who raised them? We did not go to Afghanistan to rescue their women. Germany can have their refugees.

The ongoing policy of unending chain migration is the best reason to be wary of and in opposition to Afghans being admitted. With those who truly did help our military and out their life on the line, I am favorably disposed to admitting them. But when I consider that each one admitted will have the ability to eventually admit their entire extended family, then I oppose it.
*At the moment it is illegal, but who knows when someone starts to talk about making it legal.
