OK, I have a pair, "Happy Christmas (War is Over)" featuring Yoko Ono and the Plastic Ono Band, and "All I want for Christmas is You". I developed a soft spot for 12 Days as the lyrics were developed during persecutions, and the lyrics are symbolic. My wife hates "I'm gettin' Nuttin' for Christmas" and Yogi Yorgenson's "I Yust Go Nuts at Christmas", and I am okay with both. Christmas songs can be a wedge issue.

I told a single buddy of mine that whenever the song “I will Survive” is played, watch who is on the dance floor... Always the single, overweight, man-hating women scorned who hold a grudge against men for whatever reason... And always one or two meek, pussy-whipped, metro-men amongst the herd of angry women.

I told my friend that the women he needs to approach are the ones sitting down, not dancing to this feminist anthem.

And usually when I hear this song, I break out singing a chorus of “It’s hard to kiss the lips at night that chew your ass out all day long” by Vince Gill.

The first time I heard that song was on the last episode of ER with Anthony Edwards (Mark Greene). His daughter Rachel Greene puts headphones on her father, who is dying of cancer, so he can listen to this song in his final moments as the episode flashes back and forth.
