If Castro nationalizes the businesses on Cuba and says the government is running the economy, it's easy to see the influence of Marx.
Here in America, we wouldn't do that, would we? And in Germany in the 1930s -- many people there thought that the Bolsheviks had the right idea. What Germany needed was a little communism. But those people lost the political struggle and "instead" the Nazis took over as a reaction against the dirty communists.
So, sometimes, in order to "avoid Marxism" you get leaders who support private business. Maybe Google, Facebook, Twitter, Microsoft, Disney and Coca-Cola. Instead of nationalizing the economy, strong business leaders become empowered through government and help influence society on things like election honesty, pandemics, and sexual morality. Hey, it's not like we're Marxists, or anything! It's just business controlling all aspects of your life, and the US Constitution doesn't forbid that stuff at all!!
Yes, it's all Leftwing. And, yes, beneath the covers you could say that it's all Marxism. But I think a key thing is that you can convince the gullible that -- you know -- Marxism is bad, which is why we don't do that. But we do something different. Clinton, Obama, Biden -- they aren't Marxists. They're helping grow American business!!
In short: I think it helps to show how one political flavor camouflages itself and presents itself as something it isn't. If the only thing we talk about is the danger of communism, then fascism can sneak up on us because it's "different".

Your analysis of Fascism being different than Marxism isn’t accurate historically or in contemporary times.
Hitler adopted the twist on Marxism that permitted private industry as long as it benefitted the State which was developed by Mussolini. It’s still Marxism.

Each year every high school in the Nation and every college and University graduates another class of indoctrinated Socialists drones who don’t have the ability to think and reason for themselves.
