Not for nothing but it’s been 47 years, not 37 since Mama Cass passed. The 70’s have drifted so far away!
Anyway, she was around when I was growing up. She always had this "Oh, Wow!" expression on her face and that made her seem happy.
At this moment, and I sincerely hope I am not jinxing him, Buzz Aldrin (91), the Apollo 11 Eagle (LEM) Pilot, still survives. Of the 24 men of the Apollo Moon Mission (Apollos 8, 10 - 17), only 4 of the Moon Walkers and 6 of the Orbit / Flyby (Apollo 13) still live.
I wonder if any of them will live to see the next footprint on Luna? The youngest of these survivors is Ken Mattingly (85), Apollo 16 Command Module Pilot (CSM) [Original CSM Pilot of Apollo 13].
FUN FACTS: Cass Elliot has an IQ of 165.
In 1967, Cass was arrested in London, England for stealing bed sheets from an apartment. Charges dropped due to lack of evidence. Cass later admitted stealing the sheets.
Both Cass and Who drummer Keith Moon died in the same apartment in England, one being rented by friend’Harry Nilsson. Harry then decided to move, and sold the apartment to Pete Townsend.
