It took me 3 hours to finally hear this on a replay of a news conference on Fox news. How many Freeper's have dramatically altered their life to work on mindfulness? Am I uniquely naïve for wondering this?
She seems mentally tough when the world dawns all over her, but when things get tough, she cracks. She’s hardly alone when it comes to athletes who have trouble with competitive pressure. But when speaking of the greatest gymnasts of all time, it has to be mentioned as a weakness. Any idea of the pressure Nadia Comaneci was under? Downright frightening.
She’s on record supporting blm, homos and racial justice. How much more you want?
She set herself for this with her GOAT leotard. If you’re gonna talk it you gotta be able to walk it.
And in a communist country on top of it all.
Probably a play, movie, statues…..the whole nine yards.
Tee
Hee
Couldn’t take a loss. Wimp.
Mindfulness. Like not dropping out and screwing your teammates. You know, mindfulness.
Brady, Bird, MJ, Magic, etc. they lived for the big moment and wanted the ball. That’s what a GOAT does. They have no concept they might lose.
If she was in such bad shape, she should have dropped out prior, giving another person a chance to compete.
I did. And it was beneficial.
But not in the friggin’ olympics. damn…that’s some poor timing.
- Gymnists go through hell. Plus..she was abused as a child in the system.
- Lack of focus could break a body part.
- I sympathize with her.
Thanks for the second. Indeed grave physical injury is possible with focus and more so when focus is fogged or broken.
I like sports heroes who didn’t quit.
Oh, no, I fully realize that. She definitely is. I guess what I’m not saying very well is these Olympics are already a bit of a shambles, and she may simply always want to be associated with the joyous atmosphere of the other Games that she has been a part of.
Whether she realizes that the downer atmosphere of the current Games is a direct result of them being “Woke” is of course another story.
I remember during the 5th or 6th week of basic training when I told my Drill Instructor that I would be dropping out of group events so that could concentrate on mindfulness...
There is more to life than a gold medal. Gymnastics is a very mentally involved sport, if the problem is in her head. Get off this team business. Stop being critical; I don’t see you folks out there.
Well they are Amateurs this is not professional sports
See the link on post 82.
She has some apologizing to do. To her team, her country, and most importantly, the young women that couldn’t go because she decided to go.
How about the young woman who chose to forgo the team events because she wanted what was best for the team?
Watch the video. When you see Keri line up for her final vault, eyes focused but on the verge of tears. Face pail, barely disguising the nausea she felt from her injury. Determined stance and... Just watch the video.
Keri is a champion. Simone has been a champion.
What the heck is mindfulness?
