Simone Biles pulled out of the finals of the gymnastics team event at the Tokyo Olympics on Tuesday, dealing a massive blow to Team USA’s chances of securing the gold medal as they face a resurgent Russian team.
Biles left the competition floor after completing her first apparatus on the vault, the New York Times reported.
Biles, who was supposed to do a Yurchenko with two-and-half twists on the vault, pulled out only after one-and-a-half twist and then stumbled on the landing.
It’s unclear if the gymnast, widely considered the greatest of all time, was injured during the event.

Who cares? Let the ungrateful US team come in last. Of course there are some good kids on the team but their silence speaks volumes in not calling out the anti American commies.
It basically sounds like she’s calling Ronna McDaniel for advice... sad... she was the best.
I also don’t see Biles as an America hater.
Looks like US Rugby team just crashed out as well
Thank you for posting that, it is great ti see someone who is so accomplished, the best in the world, who wears her faith so publicly.
>>which the FBI knew about but did nothing.
They were probably too busy tracking down Tom Brady’s stolen jersey....and other important stuff like that.
And this just in, Philippines wins first gold medal in 100 years - women’s weightlifting
I gave up on the Olympics when they started allowing professional athletes to compete.
In college, in-season, ALL of my teammates and I took 1000mg of ibuprofen a day. We called it the Vitamin M (motrin) horse pill.
Gymnastics takes a toll.
click the link and read the article- its even better:
“In her autobiography Biles expands on her Catholic faith and relates in one of the chapters her experience receiving the sacrament of Confirmation, “I marched into St. James the Apostle Church that Sunday in a line of teenagers with solemn faces… in a way, our procession reminded me of a medal ceremony, except that no gold, silver, and bronze medals would be given out. Instead, our prize would be something much more powerful: in a few moments, each of us would bow our heads to receive the Holy Sacrament of Confirmation.””
My husband cheers the news of urban gun violence. I feel the same way about Team USA losing.
I trained for the Olympic decathlon for a decade....the last few years my knees were so beat up (i had tendonitis in both and a condition called chrondra malasia in one) my first two laps warming up were limping around the track until the blood started flowing through the knees.
I was a fraction of the athlete of Bilas but by my senior season i was mentally exhausted with all the injuries (both knees, achillies, etc)
Joke?
Larisa Latynina of the Soviet Union has won a massive NINE GOLDS at the Olympics in gymnastics, plus 9 other medals making 18 Olympic medals. Before Phelps, she was consideredthe greatest Olympian of all time.
Biles has only won 4 golds and one bronze. It's not even close.

Not woke. Very sad about Simone. I really like her a lot.
After being told that Simone would be scored differently (effectively eliminating her chance at a gold medal), I am not surprised that she decided to tell the Olympic scoring folks to F-O-A-D.
She has dedicated her life to the sport bringing originality and excellence to it. I am looking forward to the caterwauling as all the ‘woke’ folks scream ‘rayciss’. OTOH if the ‘wokies’ don’t rise to her defense, it means that they are content with mediocrity and hypocrisy.
Maybe they have been programmed to lose. After all, a horrible place like the US shouldn’t win all the time.
I put nothing past our satanic government anymore.
I think she arrogantly played everyone. I’ll do this, I won’t do this. No one likes a diva. There is sadly, something very unlikeable about her. She is no Simone Biles.
And the Japanese were upset that had some gaijin, who could barely even speak the language light the Olympic Flame.
Simone Biles is a Christian and a patriot. I’ve never heard her say anything bad about America. She’s proud of her country and the opportunities it has afforded her.
I was going to say she’s a Christian. She is adopted . Her brother went down the wrong path. She seems like a charming young lady with spectacular talent.
