Vostok 1 orbited Earth at a maximum altitude of 187 miles and was guided entirely by an automatic control system.

There is precious little in this life that I actually have control over but how I react to any given situation is one of the things I actually do control and I choose to be happy about this, I choose to see the inherent good, the positive and I will not dwell on what others might see as the negatives.

I'm not bitter or jealous, I'm not sad that I won't be going into space, I'm happy that Americans are making more steps into the next frontier.
