I think Trump handled it as well as possible. He made his constant comments which showed his strong opinions. He offered help. Leftist cities burned nightly on the TV news, while idiot leftist mayors in Portland, Chicago elsewhere publicly declined his help. They looked like weak enablers.
America's crap media and corrupt establishment would have just loved to grab onto scenes of Federal troops attacking young blacks and fat lesbians to spin against Trump.

Regarding 4, i think a case could have easily been made, doing a little real investigation, for organized crime, racketeering and terrorism against BLM and antifa.
