Science ain’t what it was when I was a kid!
Used to be people could have conversations and value reproducing results, now it is all about publication, regardless or reproducibility.
Also, medicine was a practice and understood that a doctor’s experience added value, now a study with twenty people and published results - the media picks it up and the science is settled. Discussion is unnecessary, add it to the curricula going forward and anyone who challenges the settled science is a crack pot conspiracy idiot who needs to stay in their lane.
At the end of day, your own common sense is your best weapon. Deploy it frequently.
