Maybe he’s got a point.
In China corrupt bankers get a bullet in the head.

Then who would we use for slave labor while we exterminate them?

Careful, Charlie. Today you’re singing the praises of Red China. But you’re one of the capitalist types true communists hate. So tomorrow you might be the guy standing on the table.

The sign identifies that man as a “reactionary”, but “Eunuch” will be the appropriate term when the CCP emporers give Charles Munger his reward.

No, an ill-conceived government scheme to give mortgages to people who couldn’t afford them, and then use the FNMA to pool the bad mortgages in with the good, ultimately destroying those mortgage pools as investments is what caused the financial crisis.

Hey, let’s see Munger swinging and then we can debate which side is better.

I saw him get interviewed during Obama years where he dismissed the blight of blue collar America due to China outsourcing. I thought at the time at least he shouldn’t be relevant for much longer, and he’s still there, evil never dies.

Rather like what is happening in the USA. If you are with the Democrats, you can do no wrong (Hunter Biden). If you are against the Democrats, the mere opposition to them gets your law license taken away (Mayor Guliani).

“He basically gave a speech when he said to one party state, you guys are a bunch of jerks, don’t know what you’re doing and I know what I’m doing and I’m going to do it better.”
Munger is wrong about what Horse Cloud said - he only suggested that some things could be improved on. And now, he, like many other wealthy and powerful Chinese billionaires, has been disappeared.

—
Its worse than that - people do not have to actually commit a crime, just being too influential is enough because no one can be more influential than the CCP.
If a person even vaguely says something that could be stretched - no matter how thin - and interpreted as having a criticism of the CCP, is targeted.
Opposition is what the CCP says it is and that can change at any moment; what’s ignored today, will warrant a police visit tomorrow.
The CCP is an extremely paranoid and fragile entity.
