I live in Florida. I will hurt you if you come for my AC. Just had it replaced.
Firstly, Henry Boothe Luce is rotating at 5000 rpm in his grave.
Secondly, these writers should lead the way and shut down the AC in their New York offices.
It seems like liberals are determined to kill off old people.
First by locking them up and sending covid positive people in with them and now this.
OK, libs, you go first. Turn off AC in your personal homes, apartments and offices.
Start with Austin, Houston, southern Dallas and of course nyc. Now. In July.
Put up or shut up.
Heating systems cause higher temperatures so ban them. Make those Time employees in NYC put on another pair of socks.
Commies are a “do as I say, not as I do” - you can be sure the offices of Time magazine - and the government - will keep their a/c.
Reminds me of when I first started teaching - there was NO air conditioning in the classrooms - yet all of the administrative offices had a/c. Someone said if this were a prison or the animal shelter, there would be lawsuits filed. This is in Los Angeles where our summers and fall can be very hot.
We finally got it after I’d been there about 10 years - then the copper wiring in the a/c s was immediately pulled out and stolen.
I nominate Time to be at the top of list of the banned. I wonder how long it would take to empty their building?

The only thing that makes certain areas of the South livable is AC.
I remember it before we had AC. It would be so hot we would just lay in our beds and let the sweat roll off of us. And the nights were no better.

I hate to say it, but this sounds like another step in conditioning the populace to accept a new infrastructure of conservative prison camps. A/C will be banned in private residences but all are welcome to join together in the cool climes of the camps. I hope I'm just a paranoid conspiracy theorist, but anecdotal evidence seems to support my suspicion.
After reading this I’m putting the top down on my convertible and cranking the AC full blast.
